Meet the Pepperjam Team - Video #3 - Get to Know the Versatile Dean Karasinski
So, here we are at Meet the Pepperjam Team Video #3 - the previous two videos have received hundreds of views - is this thing about to take off or do we need a few more vids?
Well, this week we have one of the most intelligent and experienced staffers at Pepperjam - Dean Karasinski is a seasoned search-engine marketer, affiliate marketer, and online media buyer - he has worked in almost every division of our company and is currently a very senior media buyer within Pepperjam’s media planning and buying division. In fact, Dean is the director of one of Pepperjam’s largest media clients - the Lord of the Rings Online, the MMO that is about to take the gaming community by storm if Dean has anything to do with it!
For those of you who find yourself learning about the “Meet the Pepperjam Team” project for the first time, here are the “rules.”
Every Friday Pepperjam will post a new video interview of a member of our staff - everyone will be included - affiliates managers, executives, search-engine marketing managers, directors, software engineers, assistants, online media buyers, and interns. The person being interviewed won’t know he / she has been chosen until about 30 seconds before the interview - this way you’ll get an unrehearsed, real world look at the employee…hopefully, this will make it interesting and non-corporate, which is what we are known and respected for across the internet marketing industry.
Why are we doing this? Well, I am proud of our team and I think you’ll find them as interesting and intelligent as I do. Also, I’m a student of viral video and the social media space and I want to test the waters as it relates to what corporate america is doing (and not doing) to spread buzz and build next generation work places.
Finally, I just thought it would be cool to put some people in front of a video camera that have never done so before, have a little bit of fun, and see if Pepperjam can spread some additional buzz about why we are the leader in online marketing.
FYI - all videos will also be posted to YouTube. If you think what we are doing is outside-the-box and interesting please blog about it and share the story with the world.

I really like your video series, Kris! Keep it up. It’s a cool way to show of your employees, company and culture. Jeremy has gone on and on about how great you guys are, and there is obviously some merit to that.
I would love to get into video more….
If I were to lose my mind and think I might want a j-o-b, Pepperjam seems like a pretty darn cool place to work. And after checking out the photos on here, it seems to be filled with be-yooooo-tiful people! How did ya manage that?

Thanks for the positive feedback!
I can’t answer the be-yooooo-tiful people question - the funny thing is that we have some of the most intelligent, fun, and creative people I’ve ever met. Our Directors and VP’s do most of the hiring so I will politely dodge the beauty question; however, I will admit that both Michael (our COO) and I have been asked on multiple occasions at conferences whether we hire models to staff our exhibit booths, which is not true.
I believe the Pepperjam team is awesome and I’m glad you agree with me.

Yeah, I can see how you get asked that question! I definitely get the feeling that it’s a really cool place to work. It’s not easy to create that kind of environment, so kudos.
